Varalakshmi Vratham 2025: The Complete Guide

Varalakshmi Vratham 2025: The Complete Guide

Celebrate the Goddess of Wealth & Prosperity with Devotion and grace.

Varalakshmi Vratham or Varalakshmi pooja is a traditional festival celebrated by women, mainly in South India, to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, health and prosperity. It’s observed on the Friday before the full moon (Shravana Pournami) in the Tamil month of Aadi or Shravan.

This Vratham is believed to bring wealth, health and happiness to the family. Worshipping Goddess Varalakshmi is said to be equivalent to worshipping Ashta Lakshmi, the eight forms of Lakshmi.

Any woman, married or unmarried can perform this pooja with devotion. It’s especially popular among married women praying for family well being.
